v4.9.0
This release adds early access to TikTok and Voice, makes Year in Review available to everyone, and continues work on the AI assistant and editor.
Alongside the main changes, there are several smaller improvements across reliability, UI, and integrations.
đŁ New channels: TikTok and Voice
Chatwoot 4.9 introduces TikTok messaging and expanded voice capabilities, both currently available in alpha. These features are still evolving, and we would love the community to try them out and share feedback.
TikTok
TikTok is available as an early-access channel in this release. You can receive and reply to TikTok messages directly from the Chatwoot inbox and manage conversations using the same assignment, tagging, and workflow patterns used across other channels. The current alpha focuses on core messaging workflows, and we are actively iterating based on early feedback.
Voice channel
The Voice channel allows you to place outbound calls and receive inbound calls directly within Chatwoot. This includes support for basic voice workflows. The feature is currently in alpha, and there are known issues around call rejections that we are actively working on.
đ Year in Review
Support work doesnât always get applause. Itâs steady, sometimes messy, often invisible. But itâs real work, done by real people, every single day. This year, you showed up for customers in moments that mattered. Every reply, every follow-up, every conversation added up.
This Year in Review is our small way of saying thank you. We are grateful you chose Chatwoot and trusted us to be part of your inbox.
đ€ AI assistant and editor
This release continues the migration of the AI assistant (Captain) and the editor to Ruby LLM. Overall observability and reliability of AIâpowered workflows have improved.
