This pre-release is primarily for documentation testing purposes, before merging the branch in completely and closing out the related issues.

• Comment out reminders, so that authors have to explicitly opt-in case-by-case.
• Add inline documentation comments (marked with @docs) using Doxray and YAML format.
• Exclude irrelevant files from npm releases
