Hey, it's been a while!

As an early gift for the holidays, we're inviting everyone to get a sneak peek of all our work from the past year. This includes over 300 changes from 9.0, making it our biggest release yet! We really hope it's been worth the wait, and are so excited to see what everyone thinks ~~and how much you can all break it~~

Our full changelog isn't quite ready yet, but some cool new things to expect are:

• Support for data packs!
• Support for updating resource and shader packs!
• "Manage Skins" can now show a 3D preview of your skins on the player
• A few nice UI revamps (especially in Settings!)
• Better support for providers like CurseForge/Modrinth/FTB App
• Expanded desktop shortcut support
  • This includes creating shortcuts for specific worlds and servers!
• Easier and more reliable authentication with Microsoft
  • You no longer need to type the one-time code when scanning the QR code or clicking the link to sign in
  • The launcher will automatically prompt you to re-authenticate expired accounts
• CatPacks can now include GIFs
• Broader Linux support!
  • ARM builds are now available
  • Our AppImage should now work on many more systems (new and old, even without FUSE!)
• Endless bug fixes and performance improvements
• A hug
